BOOKMARK'S 2010 ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN IS HERE!
Hi folks. It's that time of year again when we need to raise
money to support another season of Bookmark. Based
on feedback from many of you, it is clear that this program
serves a genuine need in Alberta's literary community. The
show profiles the great work that's being written and published
here. It follows the careers of our emerging authors and poets.
It provides information on literary festivals and creative
writing programs. We like to think that, in at least a small
way, Bookmark helps foster a re-energized writing and
publishing community in Alberta.
That said, without the money to cover our relatively modest
production budget, it would be hard to keep Bookmark
going. We need your help and it's that simple. So, between
now and the 30th of June, we're seeking your donations to
help underwrite the cost of the show for another year.
Individual Donations
As we did last summer, we're asking that supporters consider
making a dedicated $500 donation in support of a single broadcast
of the Bookmark program, for which you will be publicly
recognized during the broadcast. The donation is tax-deductible.
At this time, we are only asking you to make a pledge of that
donation by sending an e-mail to bookmark@ckua.com.
The CKUA Fund Development Office will contact you later to
arrange the honoring of your pledge.
Corporate underwriting
Those of you who support Bookmark and who head corporations
or institutions might consider purchasing a full corporate
sponsorship of the program. This sponsorship will result in
recognition of your organization's patronage on each broadcast
of Bookmark during the coming year, and we will also
provide other associated marketing considerations in support
of your organization. To arrange a corporate sponsorship agreement,
please contact CKUA Sales Manager Don Barnes at dbarnes@ckua.com.
We love what we do on this program. We hope you do, too, enough
that those of you who are financially able will step up and
make your contribution to keeping Bookmark on the air.
Thank you for listening!
