I returned to my news roots at CKUA in 2004. After working at ACCESS Radio CKUA during the 1980s and serving as news director for a time, I worked as a reporter for MonitoRadio in London, England. There, my assignments ranged from the G-7 conference in Venice, Taiwan’s move toward democracy, and altercations between police and demonstrators at Stonehenge during the summer solstice celebrations. Back in Canada, I was a network producer for CBC Newsworld, Canada's first all-news television station.
I also contributed articles on emerging technologies (electronic signatures and Singapore's Intelligent Island), oil and natural gas, and politics to the Financial Times, the Financial Times Energy Economist, The Christian Science Monitor and The Globe and Mail. I hold a master’s degree in environmental management from the University of London (England). I produced, wrote and narrated a documentary series for CKUA on issues related to fresh water, The Voice of Water.
